Ayurvedic treatment combines three elements: internal herbal medicines prescribed to your constitution, external therapies applied by trained therapists, and diet and lifestyle correction. A plan usually uses all three, because Ayurveda holds that a symptom is the end point of an imbalance that started earlier in digestion, sleep or stress.
At Niramaya in Al Karama, every treatment is prescribed after a doctor’s consultation. Your physician determines your prakriti (constitution) and the dosha imbalance behind your complaint, then selects from over 20 classical therapies – oil treatments such as Shirodhara and Pizhichil, herbal poultice therapies like Elakizhi and Njavara Kizhi, detox and rejuvenation programmes, and targeted treatments including Kati Vasti for the lower back and Netra Tarpanam for the eyes.
Every treatment at Niramaya begins with a consultation, so your plan matches your constitution rather than a package you selected. Call 04 529 4777 or book online. Open every day, 9am to 9pm, in Al Karama.
The quality of Ayurvedic treatment depends almost entirely on who prescribes it. Before booking anywhere in Dubai, check five things: that the doctor is DHA-licensed and holds a BAMS degree; that you are consulted before you are treated; where the herbal medicines are manufactured and whether they are UAE-registered; whether the therapists are Kerala-trained; and whether you receive a written plan with a session count and total cost. Niramaya meets all five.
A first visit takes about 45 minutes: consultation and pulse diagnosis, then a written treatment plan with therapies, herbal medicines, diet guidance, session count and total cost stated before anything begins.
Call 04 529 4777 or book online. Walk-ins accepted subject to availability, every day 9am to 9pm.
The doctor records your health history and current medication, then assesses your constitution using classical methods including nadi pariksha (pulse diagnosis), alongside any lab reports you bring.
You receive a written plan covering therapies, herbal medicines, diet and daily routine, with the number of sessions and the total cost stated upfront.
Progress is reassessed at agreed intervals and the plan adjusted. Most therapeutic courses run 7 to 21 days depending on the condition.
Ayurvedic therapy sessions at Niramaya start from AED 200 for Abhyanga full-body massage and AED 250 for Abhyanga with Kizhi, following an AED 100 doctor consultation. Your total cost depends on how many sessions your condition needs — the number and the price are confirmed in writing before treatment begins. Annual membership plans reduce treatment costs by 15–25%.
For lower back pain, Kati Vasti — warm medicated oil held in place over the lumbar spine for 30 to 45 minutes — is the most commonly prescribed Ayurvedic treatment. It is usually combined with Elakizhi herbal poultice massage and internal herbal medicine across 7 to 14 sessions. The right protocol depends on whether the cause is muscular, disc-related or degenerative, so a consultation comes first.
Not in its complete classical form. Several Panchakarma procedures are restricted in the UAE, so Niramaya does not perform full classical Panchakarma. What we do offer is a supervised detox and rejuvenation programme built on the classical Snehana (oleation) and Swedana (sudation) therapies — medicated oil treatments, herbal poultice therapies, herbal medicines and dietary correction — delivered as a course under doctor supervision.
Most Ayurvedic therapies take 45 to 60 minutes. Shirodhara runs 30 to 45 minutes, Abhyanga full-body massage around 60 minutes, Kati Vasti 30 to 45 minutes, and Nasyam about 30 minutes. Allow an extra 45 minutes for your first visit, which includes the doctor consultation.
Most therapeutic courses run 7 to 21 sessions. Relaxation and rejuvenation treatments such as Abhyanga can be taken as a single session, while chronic conditions like arthritis, migraine or hormonal imbalance need a full course followed by diet and lifestyle support. Your doctor states the expected number at your first consultation.
Yes. Every treatment at Niramaya is prescribed after a doctor's assessment rather than selected from a menu. The consultation costs AED 100 and determines your constitution and the imbalance behind your symptoms — two patients with the same complaint often need different therapies.
